Esperanza Blvd Land Update
From our EE president, Dave Sielken, "I am very
happy to report that through your generosity - and that of
Portillo Place and Ventura West residents - we have reached our
part of the financial goal for the acquisition of the property
at 670 Esperanza Blvd. that was to have become a pickleball
center.
The only remaining step is the actual transfer of funds that
will happen over the next 2-3 weeks following the required due
diligence for the official closing. The final "hand-over" will
follow a final approval by the contributing HOAs - as well as
the seller and buyer (Las Campanas Community Association) - of
the required documents which have already passed legal review
and review by the contributing HOAs. These legally binding
documents will guarantee our access and that the property 'shall
remain vacant and undeveloped, and shall be maintained by the
Grantee (the owner, LCCA)' for 199 years. This obligation
includes all associated costs and taxes.
We could not have achieved this success without the patience and
generosity of all the donors and the perseverance of our
committee: Donna Dailey, Dean Hess, Jim Sourant, Howland
Swift and Doug Syme." |
Wednesday Movie Night
Movies are taking a break for a few weeks, but there is a great
line up of films when they return in September.
Thanks to Jane & Eric Ellingson for sponsoring this
event. |
Thinking of Selling Your House?
Just a reminder that, prior to closing on a house sale, title
companies require a report from our Architectural Control
Committee stating the house is in compliance with our CC&Rs.
This means that Architectural Control will be inspecting any
house that is being sold to be sure it is in compliance. To get
an idea of some of what the committee will be looking for, you
can read the Pre-Sale
Inspection Form found under 'Forms & Documents' on the EE
website, esperanzaestates.net. You can also ask the committee to
do an informal/courtesy inspection before you put your house on
the market so you can have time to address any compliance
violations before the official inspection report alerts
potential buyers to any issues. |
Road Repairs
The county is scheduled to be milling and filling
Camino del Portillo starting today. |
Fiber Arts
Now that temperatures are in the bearable range, the
Fiber Arts group will be meeting at the Ramada on Thursdays at
1:00. Remember that you don't need to be actually working on a
project to join us for some socializing. You may be inspired by
what you see others creating. |
Found Key
A key was recently found in the Ramada kitchen. It has
a green tag and a light. If it's yours, you'll find it
hanging on the bulletin board in the kitchen. |
Attention Genealogists
The LDS genealogy library has permanently closed in
Sahuarita and will open at La Posada in November. Joan Moreaux
will be conducting some introductory genealogy classes for EE
residents at the Ramada in the fall. |
